Class etiquette

Keeping it Yoga

We welcome you warmly to Castleford-yoga! We want to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and to make sure we are considerate to the people we share our building with.
Please follow these simple guidelines to ensure we maintain our lovely, peaceful atmosphere.

• Always make sure you close the main entrance door into the venue, we are not insured for open doors. (Do not leave the door open because you believe someone in the vicinity might want to come in too, unless you have verbally checked with them.)
• Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the class is due to start.
All classes need to start on time. There is no receptionist, therefore it is at the teacher’s discretion as to whether they are able to stop the class to let latecomers in. To allow everyone to enjoy each class, we recommend you arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled class time. If you are late for a session, the session will start without you and the teacher is entitled to not let you in, since you may be disrupting the initial relaxation.
• There is a 15min gap between classes, please do not ring the bell earlier than 7min before your class is due to start.
• Please remove your shoes before entering the practice space.
• Please speak quietly once you are in the practice space.
• Ensure your phone is switched off before entering the practice space.
• Do not use your phone in the class – if you need to make a call or send a text, please do so outside the room.
• If there is a class running, please speak in whispers so that the class is not disturbed, even when you are waiting in the downstairs kitchen area.
• Please only use the toilets to use the lavatory and wash hands (please do not wash your body in the toilets).
• Please let the teacher know if you are suffering with an injury or health issue before the class is due to start.
• Please do not come to class if you have a bad cold, flu, or similar illness which could be contagious.
